Statement
Collage can tell an intentional story and/or an unintended one. New connections are made when unrelated images are put together. I wanted to create a self-portrait only by tearing and cutting the magazines' colors, shapes, forms, and patterns. Seeing my art result from an assemblage of different forms was fun, thus creating a new whole.
